2024 Lunar New Year ushers in the Year of the Dragon. The dragon represents hope, possibility, and evolution. Ironically, the 240-million-year-old fossil of this creature turned up recently. Scientists are calling it a dragon.
Its body measures 16 ft. in length and is mostly neck and wings. It has 32 vertebrae, flipper like limbs, and a long, bendy, and flexible neck. It will be exciting to learn how this creature fits into the story of this world and the creative work of God. This dragon fossil itself brings hope, possibility and evolution.
I wonder what kind of remnant I will leave behind on this earth. Am I doing whatever it takes to leave an imprint inspiring hope and possibility– with potential to bring about transformation of this world? Will my legacy somehow give insight into the story of God’s people?
Thanks be to God for creative storytelling!
